About Policy Views

Policy Views is the first-ever entirely student-run media organization housed at the Harvard Kennedy School. Policy Views shoots short, 10-minute interviews with high-level members of the Harvard community for publication on our YouTube channel, Facebook page and website. Recent interviews have included Harvard Kennedy School Dean Douglas Elmendorf and former Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors Jason Furman. Stay tuned as we continuously upload new videos and add additional interviews!

Our History

Policy Views was founded by Harvard Kennedy School student Jake Schneider during the fall semester of 2019. Policy Views is an approved organization of the Harvard Kennedy School and officially launched our first two interviews publicly on October 18, 2019.

Our Objective

Policy Views seeks to train the next generation of media professionals through the production of professional-grade, digestible and entertaining interviews. By allowing students to participate in all aspects of the video creation, from pre-production planning to post-production editing, we hope to teach the skills necessary for our members to pursue impact in the world once they leave Harvard's hallowed halls.
